Latent Slumber
E.A. Shared Space is pleased to announce Latent Slumber, the first exhibition to open in the project’s new location at 2 Beri Gabriel Salosi I Turn, Tbilisi, Georgia. The exhibition brings together works by Andro Eradze, Teimuraz Eristavi, Lea Vajda, and Peng Zuqiang, curated by Arnold Braho, and will be on view from November 8, 2026, to January 8, 2027.
The exhibition is conceived around a structure that reveals the dispositifs and conditions through which a dream may take shape. A structure of support and control, it is imagined to accommodate, sustain, and display. Dreaming, however, is a terrible will to power: a force capable of producing images, desires, and projections while, at the same time, capturing those who become trapped within them. These images can be anticipated, pre-packaged, and organised by structures that determine their forms and delimit their possibilities. Here, the dream is considered in its dual nature, as an individual experience and a collective projection: not only as a single spontaneous impulse, but also what a community imagines, desires, and builds, and the dispositifs through which these aspirations are produced and governed.
According to Haytham el-Wardany, sleep opens up a psychic theatre in which desires, fears, and memories are staged beyond the order imposed by waking life. Ghosts, lost presences, and suspended ideas intermingle with the spaces and bodies of the world, composing scenarios in which what is absent continues to act. It is within this condition that the title of the exhibition finds its meaning. Latent Slumber describes a state in which images, desires, and possibilities remain active without fully manifesting, suspended between their potential emergence and the structures that condition their form. Latency can be understood as a possibility whose conditions have already been established, whose images have been anticipated, and whose developments have been confined to a predetermined horizon.
The exhibition Latent Slumber brings together works that explore the material and imaginary conditions through which this force manifests itself, while also focusing on the apparatuses that seek to discipline it. The works engage with systems of surveillance, ideological models, and spaces in which desire is directed and circulated. From architectures of contingency to military observation systems and devices for staging and capturing memory, a tension emerges between the works and the techniques that seek to render it legible, predictable, and productive.
Andro Eradze (b. 1993, Georgia) is an artist and filmmaker based in Tbilisi. Working across photography, installation, video, and experimental cinema, his practice explores the nature of images and their capacity to evoke presence, memory, and spectrality. Eradze constructs narratives on the fringes of human habitation, exploring liminal spaces where different forms of life, perception, and agency coexist. Animism emerges as a method through which objects, landscapes, and living beings acquire unexpected forms of presence.

Lea Vajda is an artist and educator based in Munich. She works with found material to explore the affective dimensions of cultural narratives and the ways in which systems of classification and control shape subjecthood. Working across printmaking, photography, and installation her work employs strategies of abstraction, fragmentation and recontextualization to transform existing material and discern the ideological structures embedded within contemporary cultural and political frameworks. By engaging in these processes she examines the slippages of disappropriation questioning the authority of images and established narratives.
Her work has been presented at Ekrani i Artit, Shkodër, Albania (2026); la III barnale, Los Angeles/Günsterode (2025); Jahresgaben, Kunstverein München, Munich (2023, 2024, 2025); Deborah Schamoni at Various Others, Munich (2025); Galerie der KünstlerInnen, Munich (2024); WAF Galerie, Vienna (2024); and Schwabinggrad, Munich (2023), among others. She has received multiple awards and fellowships and teaches in the Class of Photography with Armin Linke at the Academy of Fine Arts Munich.
Peng Zuqiang (b.1992, Changsha) works with film, video and installations. He is interested in the stories of media and mediums—from obsolete film formats to downtempo in Mandopop—attending to their affective resonances and dissenting associations.
